About the Program

The City of Orland BiP is an innovative approach to growing companies and creating jobs in our community.

The basic premise of the program is that business growth will occur when sound business models are combined with expert mentoring, hands-on technical assistance and the appropriate financing tools.

Companies that meet the program's eligibility criteria receive hands-on mentoring assistance targeted specifically to increase the client company's business output, identify new customers and markets, sell the company's products and services, and manage existing resources more effectively.

The consultants who provide services through the program possess expertise in a variety of business sectors, have actual experience in forming and growing entrepreneurial ventures and have the management training skills necessary to assist businesses with a wide variety of issues related to business start-up, expansion, and retention.

The BiP is one more way in which the City of Orland is establishing itself as an ideal community for entrepreneurs to live, work and prosper. If building a successful entrepreneurial company is central to your vision, come join us!

Funding for the City of Orland BiP was provided by the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Business Enterprise Grant (RBEG) program and the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program of the California Department of Housing and Community Development.
